It's interesting: first they called "tags" what we used to call "topics", now they call "topics" what we used to call "categories". But it's true that I have always been confused.

Also, while peeking at my RSS 1.0 (!?) feed on del.icio.us, I discovered that they put "tags" in a "topics" xml tag (<taxo:topics>).
