About

Hi, I’m Paolo Valdemarin. This blog has been around since 2002, long before we called it blogging (back when it was still a “weblog”, remember those?).

Right now, I’m CEO at Activate Intelligence, building AI agents to help companies get things done quicker and better. I’m also a partner at Activate Studio in London, where we design and launch new ventures using rapid prototyping and smart design.

Back in 2008, I co-founded the State of the Net conference in Italy, gathering smart people to talk about the Internet’s big picture each year. Over the last three decades, I’ve been mixing technology, communication, and entrepreneurship, advising businesses, launching products, and generally trying to figure out what’s next.

Born in Gorizia, Italy, I now live in London. I finish a lot of audiobooks, cook every day, and occasionally play the blues.

This blog is my corner for random thoughts on AI, tech, culture, or anything that grabs my attention. It’s mostly half-finished ideas, occasional rants, and bits of my daily life.

If you’d like to chat, collaborate, or recommend a great recipe, just book a 45-minute slot.

As always, opinions are mine. Mistakes are mine too.
